A full service camera repair provider will have multiple technicians with OEM camera repair training, which helps ensure that they can successfully repair all major brands of cameras and bring the cameras back to the original manufacturer specifications in a fairly-priced alternative to the manufacturer’s repair costs.
Hands-on endoscope repair training includes Preventative Maintenance, Minor Repairs which account for 60 percent of what potentially goes wrong with a scope with repairs usually performed in an hour or less, Internal Component Repairs, Major Repairs and Replacements, and Complete Rebuilds.
An endoscope repair technician is responsible for the technical repair, cleaning, reprocessing, and the final quality inspection of endoscopes and accessories. He or she must have the necessary analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of mathematical, scientific, or technical principles and have the knowledge that comes from in-depth experience.
The repair technician will provide high-quality service on simple to complex repairs on both a variety of flexible and rigid endoscopes and will do so with quick turnaround times so that the camera’s regular schedule will only be temporarily interrupted. The technician will have used his training and mechanical skills to meticulously perform diagnostic evaluations on equipment needing repair and may even have an inventory of pre-built parts with him that could be immediately used in the repair process.
Essential job functions also include the ability to apply common sense understanding to deal with problems and carry out the necessary repair instructions, being able to dissassemble various models of endoscopes, identify all components and detect and order the replacements for the defective ones, have basic computer skills, and have the knowledge to test the completed repairs.
Requirements normally include having a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months related training or experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.…
